Wizard Rock EP of the Month Club

Holiday Sale!

Wowow! I'm real sorry that this site doesn't get much love anymore. Here's an update for ya!

For those who haven't figured it out by now, there's no 2010 edition of the EP club. It was a ton of work, so I just needed to take a step back and put my efforts into other projects. Putting out 12 discs a year and all the corresponding mailings is more than most small record labels would attempt, so I'm pretty proud of the 3-year streak we had. I'm even more proud of the quality of music that we released. Thirty six CDs - actually 37 with the 2-disc Giant Squidstravaganza EP - and a DVD, each one of them really unique and special. From 2007 through 2009 we did our best to document some of our favorite bands in wizard rock. Some of these bands probably would have never made a record, so it feels good to have helped usher something like that into existence.

The icing on the cake is the money we've raised over the years. The Wizard Rock EP club has, and will always, donate all proceeds to charity. I just did some quick math and since our inception we've donated nearly $50,000!

If you're just learning about the EP club, well here's a quick run down.

The 2007 edition has long been SOLD OUT! We've put together a "best-of" compilation that is available through iTunes and other digital providers and has two songe from each disc we released that year.

The 2008 edition has some really classic stuff. Among them, the Mudbloods' quintessential "A War Amongst Pop Songs" EP, Big Whompy's debut, the Giant Squidstravaganza's 2-disc behemoth, basement punk from Harry and the Potters, and the only release by France's own the Basilisk in Your Pasta. We still have a VERY LIMITED number of complete sets from 2008 that include every disc released that year. There is also a "best of" compilation, again with 2 songs from each release, that is available on iTunes and elsewhere.

The 2009 edition featured hand-stamped artwork on each and every disc and came housed in a sweet hand-stamped box. Standouts from '09 include the legendary debut of MC Kreacher, the Moaning Myrtles all-a capella EP, a long-awaited stateside release from Peeved, and a CD/DVD of the complete Harry and the Potters performance at the 2008 Yule Ball. We still have complete sets of the 2009 edition in stock. A digital "best of" compilation will be released sometime in early 2011.

So now that you're caught up, maybe you're interested in checking out some of this amazing wizard rock? Why are you even hesitating?

Oh, is it the hefty price tag?

You know that this if for charity right?

Ok, well I know it's the holidays. Maybe $60 is a little too much. You know shipping is included in that price though, right?

OK, OK. How about I knock a few bucks off?

For a limited time only, you can pick up either the 2008 set or the 2009 EP Club set for $50 each!

What, not good enough?

How about getting both sets, YES BOTH, for just $80?!?!

That's 25 CDs of music and a DVD for just $80! HOLY COW!

That's all for now!
